Kana’s maternity photos were taken on beautiful Patin Dyke in Ventress, Louisiana.

Outdoor (maternity) pregnancy photos are my favorite and I am excited that for my very first blog post on my all-new website that I am able to post about a recent pregnancy photo session that took place right outside of New Roads, Louisiana on beautiful, Patin Dyke in Ventress, Louisiana.

I’m still on a high from photographing Kana’s (maternity) pregnancy photo session, who was glowing and looking straight up gorgeous! We were able to utilize tons of natural light, the trees, and the water as a beautiful backdrop for her session.

Needless to say, from the location to the clothing to the light and beyond, every element came together to make for some incredibly, beautiful images. 

Kana was very shy and reserved throughout her session, but always delivered great smiles and poses.  She was very easy to work with.

The forecast called for rain, but it ended up being sunny and very hot.  Our session took place at 10 a.m. in the morning and it had already reached 92 degrees.  Kana was a trooper and did not complain once. We were able to take a break from the sun under the pavilion that was located on the property. 

Kana’s maternity dress choices were stunning.  She first wore a white, long-sleeved, Chiffon maternity dress with an open front. She purchased her dress from Amazon.com.

Her second choice was drop-dead gorgeous. It was a robe made of ruffles & tulle created by Todd Patrick of Todd Patrick Designs. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with ruffles and tulle. Mom-to-be and her bump looked like royalty.

Needless to say, as you can see, she was flaw-LESS! You make my job easy, Kana, and it was an absolute pleasure to hang out with you and photograph you during this sweet time of your life! I’m so excited for your little one to arrive and I know that you are too!
