Social media won’t last forever…. Why did I say this, well, by now, you all know it. I did not find out until this afternoon, but y’all… FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, & THE WHAT’S APP are broken. I’m not a big social media person, which is why I didn’t find out until after 2 pm central time, but some of y’all are just sick. So what do you do now? Do you have the numbers of your thousands, sometimes, millions of followers? Most importantly, do you have copies of your portraits and selfies that are all stored on these platforms?

What We Did Back In The Day.

There are so many ways to display your portraits and I take my photos with intention. When I take my personal photos, I know exactly what I want to do with them. I want to either put them in an album, place them in a fancy picture frame, or make beautiful wall art. Growing up in a home where portraits were always on display, that’s all that I know.

Taking Photos Use to Require Effort

When I was younger, we had to load the camera with film, use up all of the film, which took forever sometimes. After we had taken the pictures, we had to unload the film, take the rolls to the local store and wait, up to, two weeks to get the pictures back. Things are so much easier now, it’s pretty much pick up your phone, point, and then shoot. How you preserve and document your portraits is what is important.
